Examples of programmes delivered:

Rivers Capital Partners: The FinanceTree founders created and financed a new venture capital company taking it through its FSA authorisation in early 2009. A joint venture with E-Synergy, Rivers Capital is a sister company to FinanceTree.

The £7.5m North East Angel Fund, established and managed by Rivers Capital Partners.

Finance and Business programme: The North East regional investment readiness Finance & Business project, established in 2006, is managed and delivered by Finance Tree on behalf of ONE North East. The programme provides SMEs information on types and sources of finance, how to manage money in the business effectively, helps businesses understand what investors are looking for, offers assistance in preparing propositions and actively supports entrepreneurs in the finance raising process.

The Achieve More Project started in 2008 this The European Innovation Platform for Knowledge Intensive Services ACHIEVE MORE project aims to develop, test and implement a proactive and focused approach to supporting young, innovative and knowledge intensive ventures with high growth potential.

ACHIEVE MORE focuses on key sub-sectors of the economy by working closely with a network of 50 European business incubators, 5 leading investment organisations and up to 15 cluster animators – and as a result will support up to 400 SMEs with high growth potential.

Sunderland Software City Ventures programme, started in 2009 following the delivery of a successful pilot course Finance Tree won the tender to deliver this programme for Sunderland Software City. We have delivered the pilot and first full programme with 3 remaining to be delivered.  The programme, is aimed at anyone with a software related business idea, those looking to buy a software related business or individuals who would like to explore what the software industry can offer.  In each of the 4 programmes we are delivering (7 sessions each) we take around 15 SME/entrepreneurs through all aspects of business creation with a view to creating significant growth businesses with plans ready for venture investment.
